Sporting smiles: LSRA’S young athletes gear up thanks to Ausdrill and Swick Mining Services

In preparation for the first T-Ball practice of the season, junior members of the Leinster Sport and Recreation Association (LSRA) were recently presented with personalised sports shirts by Ausdrill and Swick Mining Services DeepEX representatives. Working Smarter together, the two companies from Perenti’s newly established Drilling Services division brought smiles to the faces of the children while underlining the significance of community support.

Daniel Pitchers, the Ausdrill Area Manager, emphasised the LSRA’s significance. “In a community where most parents work extended hours, the LSRA is the backbone. It offers sports and activities for both children and adults, creating a platform for a thriving community spirit,” he said.

Jess Taylor, Secretary of the Leinster Sport and Recreation Association, was grateful for the donation. “It was truly heartwarming to see the children wearing their new, personalised sports shirts, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ausdrill and Swick Mining Services DeepEX division for their generous donation and unwavering support. Their contribution has made a significant difference in the lives of our young athletes and it is a testament to how our community can unite to create cherished memories and make extraordinary events like this possible.”

Shannon Holton, Area Manager at Swick Mining Services DeepEX, who co-presented the donated sports shirts said, “Being a part of this initiative with Ausdrill to support the LSRA and help our community’s young athletes has been very rewarding. Every child deserves to feel proud and excited about what they wear, especially when it comes to sports. This collaboration exemplifies the

power of community support and demonstrates how businesses like Swick can make a significant difference in the lives of those around us. We are excited to continue collaborating with the LSRA and contribute to Leinster’s thriving community spirit.”

The sentiment of community spirit was echoed by Daniel, who added, “We at Ausdrill, in conjunction with Swick, are proud to support the LSRA in providing guernseys to the children and members of the LSRA. We hope this contribution will continue to

galvanise the camaraderie and community spirit we feel in our dealings within the Leinster community.”
