We’re proud to be one of Western Australia’s largest private employers of apprentices and trainees. Across our operations, career pathways – from apprenticeships and graduate programs to technical training and professional development – develop our future leaders. Our graduate forum and coaching initiatives foster a pipeline of talent ready to take on tomorrow’s challenges.

We’re dedicated to building capability within regional communities – more than 90% of our international workforce is local.

Our training centres delivered focused skills development in both surface and underground operations. In Australia, we’re incorporating simulation and virtual reality tools into technical and leadership training, helping engineers, operators and managers stay ahead in a rapidly changing industry.

Through schools, local events and community sports sponsorships, we build trust and shared opportunity.

In Canada, Barminco supported the North of Superior Healthcare Group’s Families Closer to Home campaign and the development of a 14-bed long-term care home at Marathon’s Wilson Memorial Hospital.

In Western Australia, Ausdrill engages deeply with its Kalgoorlie-Boulder community – supporting local Indigenous sporting events, Foodbank WA and the Goldfields Repertory Club.

Empowering the next generation

In Ghana, our Underground Mining Alliance (UMA) partnered with African Underground Mining Services and Rocksure International to investment in creating future generations of empowered women in mining, by hosting an International Women’s Day event. Held at Obuasi Senior High Technical School and themed For All Women and Girls, the event reached over 1,000 female students and included leadership, STEM outreach and financial literacy workshops.

UMA also completed construction of a new kindergarten block in the Ahafo Region, including classrooms, toilets, a borehole and electricity access. Meanwhile, a scholarship program has supported 8 tertiary students and 37 apprentices – embedding long-term community impact.

Partnering with First Nations Peoples providers

Perenti is committed to respectful, inclusive engagement with Indigenous and First Nations peoples. Guided by our Indigenous Peoples Position Statement, we collaborate with Indigenous organisations across regions. In Australia, our partnership with the Indigenous Desert Alliance supports desert ranger groups and land management – enhancing cultural awareness and care for Traditional Owners. In Canada, at Red Chris Mine, Barminco directly employs talent from the Tahltan Nation and sources some of its underground fleet from the Tahltan Nation Development Corporation.

In Australia, we nurture partnerships with Clontarf Foundation, Binar Futures and Ochre Australia – aiming to create shared value through cultural respect and inclusive growth.
