Apprenticeship program

With annual intakes and trade upgrade options, apprentices earn while they learn and gain nationally recognised qualifications that form the foundation for long-term careers in mining.
Vacation program
Through our Barminco business, the Vacation Work Program lets you apply university learning in a real underground mining environment.
We welcome mining, mechanical and mechatronics engineering students to build hands-on skills, learn from experienced professionals and set up for our Graduate Program.
Traineeship program
Gain qualifications for life and build a stable, long-term career through DDH1’s traineeship program. Receive practical experience while completing nationally recognised qualifications.
Options include the Driller’s Offsider Traineeship, where participants complete a Certificate II in Drilling Operations, along with access to future certifications and ongoing development.
Graduate program
Run through our Barminco business, the Graduate Program is a three-year pathway developing future mining leaders.
Graduates rotate across sites and functions, receive structured development, build technical foundations, learn from industry experts, and prepare for operational and leadership roles.
